DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING IN THE MOUTH! Place Person on their Side & Cushion their Head. Seizures usually last 1-3 minutes. However, if it lasts for 5+ minutes please call 911 because the person may need oxygen to stop it (Exchange Breathing)! Everyone's body is different, what works for one may not for another! Increasing Oxygen to the Brain helps some! Alternate Nostril Breathe when one feels an aura! Tapping the top of the head & middle of the chest with one's finger tips helps to calm the seizures of some! Inhaling Lavender Oil and/or Frankincense Oil helps some! Rub oil on body (bottom of nose for the person to inhale, temples, armpits, behind ears, neck, palms, feet bottom, and/or chest). Vagus Nerve Stimulation helps some (press down on acupoints PC6, ST26, or Ear Concha Cymba)!

I'm a fighter researching and sharing my discoveries to help others!Unfortunately for far too many, seizures cannot be 100% controlled (Popular Statistic: 1 in 3) ☹ BUT, No one is "untreatable", For We Can Always Improve Quality of Life. ☺Think Positively. When I feel an aura, I initiate Immediate Oxygen to my Brain by Alternate Nostril Breathing for 10min. If My Frankincense Oil/Lavender Oil are nearby, then I rub drops on the bottom of my nose & inhale the scents during Alt. Nostril Breathing. After 5 Cycles, I'll stop to Cortices Tap (Head & Chest Acupressure Routine) & then I'll continue until calm. *Has prevented my recent seizures with auras* Acupuncture has elongated the lengths of my auras & has made it harder to trigger a seizure.
Try one remedy at a time. Why? This allows one to truly know the effects of each remedy.
Take note of activities during the day/week of the seizure. There may be a trigger pattern. Be a Detective!
Join epilepsy support groups to meet &learn from others (online/social media or in-person).
REST! According to CDC, the recommended adult daily hours of sleep is at least 7 & one must stay awake no longer than 17 hours. Children need more hours of sleep. Sleeping sitting with a relaxed back position, sleeping faced up with one's head slightly elevated, or on one's leftside with a pillow between knees, can all better oxygen levels.
Eat One's Final Heavy Meal 3 to 4 Hours before sleep, for a calmer digestive system during sleep.
Limitor Eliminate Dairy, Gluten, Soy, &/or Corn. Pay Attention to Foods that make you bloated (gut intolerance).
Low Magnesium Levels, Low Vitamin B Levels, Low Vitamin D Levels, and Low Levels of Omega Fatty Acids are all common seizure triggers.
Low Oxygen/O2 Levels can cause seizures for anyone. If Can, Open Nasal Airways. A DIY Saline Solution is a nasal rinse/cleanser/irrigation for many! Learn Automatic Diaphragmatic Breathing. Chest Breathing or Mouth Breathing is a stress for everyone! Breathing from one's stomach/belly is healthy, preferrably nasal and minimal mouth. Chest Breathing during sleep is dangerous; it can trigger seizures. During physical activity, ensure to pause and relax. Periodically, Alternate Nostril Breathe, Cortices Tap (Head & Chest Acupressure Routine) and/or Tap/Massage Acupoints LU1/LU2 during exhaustive physical activity!
TIP to Quickly Calm One's Pulse: Relax one's pulse before/during/after a stressful activity & at bedtime. Slowly breathe in through the nose for 5 to 8 seconds. Hold one's breath for 5 to 8 seconds. Lastly, very slowly exhale through the mouth (mouth open enough for a straw)! This can help slow down one's heart rate/bpm (beats per minute). Alternate Nostril Breathing & Resonant Breathing can also slow one's pulse. Resonant Breathing is when one's heart rate & one's breathing synchronizes (~5-6 breaths/min.). It helps to balance the nervous system. It is popular during yoga/meditation. Nasal Diaphragmatic Resonant Breathing Pattern: Slowly Inhale 5-6 sec., Natural 1-2 sec Pause, Exhale 5-6 sec., Natural 1-2 sec Pause, & Repeat for at least 5min, preferably 10min for better results. If nasal exhales are difficult, slowly exhale through the mouth (only open enough for a straw). One can even start exhaling through the nose and end through the mouth to finish the full "5-6 sec. Exhale". Deep Calm Breathing: Nasal Inhale 4sec. Pause. Exhale at least 8sec. Pause. Repeat for 5-10min. Box Breathing:Inhale 4sec. Pause 4sec. Exhale 4sec. Pause 4sec. Repeat 3+ times.

Ladies, take note of your seizure-menstrual cycle relationship. You may have catamenial epilepsy. Progesterone cream/pills help many (avg. 50 to 400mg pills twice daily & a study states that 80mg of micronized daily progesterone cream produces similar progesterone levels in the body as a daily oral dose of 200mg).
If you are taking pharmaceutical medication, pleasedo not randomly stop to try the natural route. Why? This may cause a shock on your body (some form of withdrawal effect, seizure, tremor, attack, etc), especially if it is a large dosage or if you have taken the medication for months/years. Some very slowly reduce medication while trying natural remedies (Eg. lessening dosages weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly until off).
If taking pharmaceutical medication, consult one's doctor and research what can be taken alongside the medication. Try to find out what negatively affects this medication, if anything. For example, CBD oil cannot be taken alongside some pharmaceutical medication. Yes, unfortunately some doctors are not open to natural/alternative remedies.
NOTE: For some, taking a herb daily will result in immunity. It may work for a period of time and then stop! To Help Prevent Immunity, some say there needs to be "herb free days". Examples: 1 day herb free per week, 5 days herbs-2 days free, 4 weeks herbs-1 week free, increasing mg dosage over time, or another plan. BUT yes that can sound tricky/scary for one with daily seizures or if unaware of one's triggers. Thus, at the start of taking a natural/alternative remedy many simply disregard needing a "herb free day" and first learn their body's reactions to the new remedy.
